Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Free Trial Period

All new students are entitled to a 7-day free trial period:

• Full Access: Try any course with complete access to materials
• No Commitment: Cancel anytime during the trial
• 100% Refund: Full refund if cancelled within 7 days
• Zero Risk: No questions asked if you're not satisfied

2. Refund Eligibility

2.1 Within First 7 Days

100% Refund - Full refund if you cancel within 7 days of enrollment, regardless of reason.

2.2 Between 8-14 Days

75% Refund - Partial refund available if you notify us within 14 days. Processing fee of 25% applies.

2.3 Between 15-30 Days

50% Refund - Half refund available within 30 days. Minimum 50% is non-refundable due to administrative and resource allocation costs.

2.4 After 30 Days

No Refund - Course fees are non-refundable after 30 days from enrollment date.

3. Special Circumstances

3.1 Medical Emergency

In case of serious illness or medical emergency:

• Provide valid medical certificate
• Option to pause enrollment for up to 6 months
• 70% refund available if unable to continue

3.2 Relocation

If you need to relocate outside Pune:

• Transfer to online classes (no refund needed)
• 50% refund if online option not suitable
• Must provide proof of relocation

3.3 Course Cancellation by Institute

If we cancel a course:

• 100% Full Refund processed within 7 business days
• Option to transfer to alternative course
• Additional compensation may be offered

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

• Registration and enrollment fees
• Study materials and textbooks (physical copies)
• Examination fees paid to external bodies
• One-time special workshop or event fees
• Course fees after 30-day window

5. How to Request a Refund

Follow these steps to request a refund:

1. Submit Request: Email us at refunds-nihondia@jiem.in with your enrollment details
2. Include Information: Provide student ID, course name, enrollment date, and reason for refund
3. Attach Documents: If applicable, attach supporting documents (medical certificate, relocation proof, etc.)
4. Review Period: We will review your request within 3-5 business days
5. Decision Notification: You will receive an email with our decision
6. Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 7-14 business days

6. Refund Processing Time

Once approved:

• Credit Card: 7-14 business days
• Debit Card: 7-14 business days
• Bank Transfer: 5-10 business days
• UPI: 3-7 business days

Note: Bank processing times may vary and are not under our control.

7. Course Transfer Policy

As an alternative to refunds, you may:

• Transfer to a different course of equal or lesser value
• Transfer enrollment to a future batch (within 1 year)
• Gift enrollment to another person (with approval)

8. Installment Payment Refunds

If you're on an installment plan:

• Refund calculated on amount already paid
• Remaining installments are cancelled
• No penalty for early cancellation within refund window

9. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with a refund decision:

1. Request a review by emailing support-nihondia@jiem.in
2. Provide additional documentation if available
3. Case will be reviewed by senior management
4. Final decision communicated within 7 business days
